As a group, Art Center students created an interactive infographic detailing the 25 year history of Homeboy Industries for their 25 year anniversary. This infographic was meant for the entrance hall of their headquarters. The infographic was overlayed with augmented reality containing videos & additional information, which could be access by a specialized application.
Individually, I created a product, a bracelet, that serves as incentive for people to donate. Depending on how much money they give, they receive a bracelet of a different material. The trainees in the program also receive these bracelets to signify their accomplishments. These bracelets will be handmade by the trainees and sold on the Homeboy Industries main website and on site. I also designed and built a sample website which
contained all designed products from the project. Homeboy Industries provides hope, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated men and women allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of their community. Each year over 10,000 former gang members from across Los Angeles come through Homeboy Industries’ doors in an effort to make a positive change.
